Couple killed in street shooting

Rome - A couple were
executed in a street
shooting in a central
area of Milan, Italian
media reported on
Tuesday.
Massimiliano Spelta, a
43-year-old
entrepreneur with no
criminal record, was
approached by
someone who got off a
scooter and shot him
on Monday.
He was walking in the
Porta Romana
neighbourhood, an
area full of bars and
restaurants with his
Dominican girlfriend,
Carolina Pajaro, and
their 18-month-old
daughter.
Pajaro, 22, was killed
too as she tried to flee
from the scene.
Her daughter, who is in
hospital recovering
from light bruises was
spared.
Police are still looking
for a motive.
“There are no
hypotheses,”Milan
police squad chief
Alessandro Giuliano
was quoted as saying
by the Corriere della
Sera
